Experiment Z's evening time is the scariest part of the entire experiment. Because of this, players need to work together to create a strong foundation and protect each other from hostile creatures. They must also keep themselves excited and engaged throughout the night as they face real danger. This will keep them on edge for survival action gameplay that changes with everyone's experience and excitement level.

Essential to any player's journey or progress in the world is building or crafting systems. Crafting systems allow players to repair items, create common food and ammo supplies, and even create new systems. In contrast, building systems provide players with safety during the night and helps them create safe outposts where they can store looted items.

In Experiment Z, players continually deal with zombies and other hostile players. However, they need to form alliances in order to cooperate when bullying or looting new players is common. This comes with the added benefit of increased intensity when disputes arise over any items that were taken during a conflict. When all enemy loot has been acquired, allies can finish off any remaining zombies or hostile players and claim all their belongings. Experiment Z’s online multiplayer mode gives it the potential for the most intense survival experience. Experiment Z provides players with a wide range of weapons. These range from the M4A1 and AK-47 rifles to the USP pistol. Each type of gun can be found in the game depending on the circumstances. Some guns can be found in unexpected places. Taking out enemies with melee attacks can help remedy a lack of excitement when shooting. Knives can deal more damage than guns and can only be used up close. They're ideal for killing zombies or attacking other players suddenly.

To shield the body from side-effects, we require protective gear. This includes headwear like a bulletproof helmet, protective pants and armor. Finding these in old buildings often leads to new findings. This head gear includes a coating that makes all bullet damage mitigable. This has the effect of preserving the wearer’s life when placed in any given position. Also, it helps ward off enemy headshots thanks to its varied positioning. Money can buy useful items in the store that provide extra power. Use money to explore dangerous zones and feel secure.

Find supplies located outside of inhabited areas when traveling to Experiment Z's residential zones. Doing so in the open world portion of the map grants access to hills and forests.
